Have you thought about getting them scanned, edited, and posted to the Guernsey County GenWeb site? If the articles can be scanned, the digital files can be sent to those willing to edit the OCR files, and send them to the website. I'd be willing to some editing. That is, of course, if the Coordinator is willing to accept them. Just a thot. I thought of that. Since they are already in electronic format, I could use an OCR on them but I can tell that I will have a great deal of trouble with it because the scanned image is not good at all. I fear that if I put them through an OCR, it will only recognize every 10th letter. That's how bad they are. Whoever scanned the original newspaper pages should be punished!!Eventually I will get around to it and then transcribing them but in the meantime, this is what we have to work with.
