Grandparents were Cornelius DeHART and Catherine PERRINE. Guernsey Times--January 8, 1891 Cornelius DeHart was born November 26, 1848, and died at his home in Kimbolton January 1, 1891. He had been ill for about one year of disease of the throat, lungs, and liver. He was married November 26, 1878, to Miss Anna McKee, who is still living. They had four children, Hattie, Effie, Otho, and Edna. Hattie died when a babe and the others are quite young. He was a brother of W. P. DeHart, deputy auditor of Guernsey county, P. P. DeHart of Coshocton, E. C. DeHart and Anna DeHart, who reside with their mother at Kimbolton, and Mrs. James Kennedy of Liberty township. The father died last March, aged ninety years. Cornelius had been a trustee of his township and was a member of the village school board. He joined the M. E. Church twenty years ago. Rev. J. A. Rutledge, his pastor, assisted by REv. J. G. Hammond of the North Salem U. P. church condcuted the funeral services last Saturday, and he was buried at the Kimbolton cemetery. The pallbearers were Jonathan Wallace, S. A. ! Gibson, Robert Britton, James M. Gibson, J. L. Davis, and O. E. Smith. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
