Author: TerryWillis124 Surnames: Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.guernsey/4424/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Sarah Ann King, one of the best known citizens of Cambridge, died at the home of Mrs. Marguerite Mahaffey at 923 Gaston Avenue Monday evening, September 23rd, at 4:50 after a week's illness with congestion of the brain. She was born in Cambridge 73 years ago last February, her parents being Benjamin and Levina King, and her entire life has been spent here. When nine years old she united with the M.E. Church and as long as her health would permit was active in Christian work being especially interested in the Sunday school. She lived with the families of Charles Albright and Joseph White as house-keeper for many years had made her home with Mrs. Mahaffey. Two sisters Mrs. Lucinda Stevens and Mrs. Kate Waller, of New Concord, survive her and the following nephews and nieces are living all of whom will probably be present at the funeral services; W.B. Stevens, Mrs. Grace Speck, of Milnersville, Fletcher and Kate Stevens of this city, Mrs. Lida Mason, Oldham's Station, O.T. Stevens, Somerton. The funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday at 10 a.m. conducted by Drs. Jester and Milligan, interment beside her parents in the South Cemetery.
