Author: TerryWillis124 Surnames: Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.guernsey/4428/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Elmer Yoho, the eight-years old boy of Cumberland, who attempted to get in a moving wagon last Friday and had his right leg broken, died Wednesday. The Cumberland correspondent of the Jeffersonian sends the following in regard to the accident; The boy's right foot was caught in the wheel and before the wagon could be stopped the leg was crushed. Dr. Walters was called and rendered surgical aid. He seemed to rest very well until Monday morning when it was decided to amputate the limb above the knee. Drs. Bolon and Holms assisted Dr. Walters with the amputation. The boy rallied from the shock of the operation but Wednesday morning he grew worse and his death followed. Elmer Yoho was a bright little fellow, well liked by all who regret to here of his death. Thursday 18 June 1903 Cambridge Jeffersonian Cambridge Ohio.
