My confusion came from Julia's death certificate which gives her mother's name as Mary Gray. I have since convinced myself it is wrong. (I had found a marriage of a David Adams and Mary Gray in 1830 in Ohio, and a David Adams and Sarah Morrow in 1846 in Ohio. Thought he could have been married 3 times!) Sarah died 5/20/1869 in Vermillion County, IN. She is probably buried in Thomas Cemetery, Newport, IN, but there is no stone. David died 2/9/1876 in Richland County, IL. I don't know where he his buried. He is not listed in the Richland County cemetery inscriptions book, so must not have a stone. I am fairly certain that David's parents were Jacob and Margery (Harmon) Adams. No idea about Sarah's parents. I have seen Jacob as the son of James and Isabel (Weldon) Adams, which I do not think is correct. I have also seen him as the son of John and Ann (Caudill) Adams. I don't think that is right either.
