Fields Sr., 72, of 2510 Marion Drive, South Zanesville, Ohio died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1993 at Good Samaritan Medical Center emergency room following a long illness. He was born Jan 31, 1921 in Cambridge, Ohio a son of Revere and Dora Gibson Fields. He was retired from Armco Steel Corp. and Rosecrans High school, a member of the Apostolic faith, the Masonic lodge and a veteran of the Army Air Force in W. W. II. Surviving are his wife Esther Gebhart Fields whom he married July 19, 1986; seven daughters, Dora Jean Cooksey, Marcia Fields, Carmen Fields, and Jerri Brown, all of Cincinnati, Rebecca Dickerson of Seattle, Mary Henderson of Cambridge, Ohio and Barbara Rogers of Zanesville, Ohio; three sons, Harold W. Fields Jr., and Ralph R. Fields both of Zanesville; and Melvin Fields of Fort Campbell, Ky.; two step daughters, Rita Dusenberry of Crooksville, Ohio and Debra Wixtrom of La Palma, Calif., two step sons, Marlin Rogers and David Dady, both of South Zanesville. a sister Bessie Tobin of Yellow Springs, Ohio; five brothers, Clarence Fields, Robert Fields, James Fields, and Paul Fields, all of Cambridge, Ohio and Charles Fields of Canton, Ohio; 21 grandchildren; a great grandchild and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Revere and Dora Gibson Fields; his first wife, Jean C, Greene Fields, who died Aug 18, 1970; his second wife, Helen L. Green Fields, who died March 5, 1984; a sister and two brothers. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today at Hillis Funeral Home in Zanesville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greater Apostolic Church of Christ with Elder Terrance Brown officiating.
