I know that a THORTON DAWSON was born in Guernsey County, Ohio in March 25 of 1823. I found only two Dawsons who were head of household in that county in 1840, they were George Dawson and Thomas Dawson. Thorton was born in Maryland, his parents with the children moved from Allegheny County in Maryland to Guernsey Co. in Ohio in the year of 1839.
