I am seeking information on the Frazier families (inc. various spellings) of Guernsey Co., Ohio. My brick wall is David Frazier who married to Ida J. (Peria) Strawn in Guernsey Co., Ohio in May 26, 1873. They had two known children: Mary "Dolia" M. Frazier b. Sept. 30, 1873 Robertha "Blanche" Frazier b. Dec. 31, 1878 My problem is that Ida appears apparently a widow in the 1880 census as a housekeeper in another family with only her youngest daugter. I don't know who was taking care of Dolia at that time. He was buried under the name David Frasure in Fairfield Co., Ohio. I think he mostly lived in Fairfield and Hocking Counties during his marriage. I can't think of why else he might marry in Guernsey Co., Ohio except that perhaps he had family there. (I suppose it could have been that his wife was five months pregnant and he did not want to marry at home). Would love to hear from anyone with ideas, Mindy Shadle mshadle@prodigy.net
