There's a funny note in Wolfe about Madison TWP, where he says the township was once much larger (it's not 6 x 6 today, more like 5 x 5 mi). Does anyone know of a map that shows county geography in the early days or mid 19th century? What the section numbers would be in the various townships? Any advice appreciated.
