[Transcribed from Bloomfield-Eastern Greene County Public Librarys IHS Microfilm Records.] John D. GLOVER died near Solsberry, Greene County, Indiana, December 15, 1891 in his seventy third year. He was born in Guernsey County, Ohio, June 10, 1819. March 2, 1836 he was married to Susan LAWHEAD. To them were given twelve children, three of whom precede their father. He moved to Solsberry in 1857. He united with the Congregational church when it was first organized at Solsberry. He was a true husband and loving father. His parental care extended not only over his own family, but also over his grandchildren, he having cared for some of them in his home. His neighbors only knew him to love him, and with the family feel their sad loss. His cheerful, genial nature won him friends wherever he went. He was the last survivor of a large family. He is the oldest son of the late John D. GLOVER, and has not been a resident of this county since the war. He had not heard of his fathers death before reaching here Tuesday morning.
