Thanks but have already been there and did the court house and the genealogy library located in the main library. Unfortunately the people I was chasing just passed through. Bought some land and sold it and gone, but at least I got the deeds so well worth the trip. Ladies at the genealogy library as well as the court house were very helpful and very nice. I don't know why I keep hearing that court house employees are rude. I am now through my 6th court house in this part of the state and they have been either great or just helpful, but never rude. They are very busy and I sure do appreciate their taking the time to make my copies. I know what I am looking for and if someone just guides me to the oldest indexes I am ready to do.
