In the 1830 Census William and Jane are living next door to a Thomas Hannah in Old Washington, Wills Township. I believe he may have been her brother. Could Jane and Thomas be any of the 15 children of John and Rebecca Harris Hannah? >From "Ohio Divorces: The Early Years", by Carol Willsey Bell, C.G. , 1994, p. 93. ROBE, JANE vs WILLIAM GUERNSEY CO. Oct 1831, petition for divorce filed 21 July 1831, she dismissed the case. (Guernsey Co Supreme Court Appearance Docket p57) 1834: divorce granted 28 Feb 1834 by act of State Legislature. They m 19 July 1825 in Guernsey Co., she was JANE HANNAH. She deserted 1830 & since then has lived with her father in Penna. She was named guardian of children SARAH ROBE & THOMAS HANNAH ROBE. (OHIO LAWS v32 p224) WILLIAM ROBE & JANE HANNA m 1825. (DAR: Guernsey Co Marriages). This cannot be the William Robe b 1814 since this marriage took place in 1825 when Josiah's son William was 11 years old. I do not know of any Robe families in Guernsey County other than Josiah's.
