He was apparently born in Guernsey County in the early 1840s and served in the 30th Ohio Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War. Many of the boys in the 30th came from Guernsey and surrounding counties. I would be interested in information on any of the soldiers serving the 30th Ohio. Thanks, David Hayes
