I have not given up on my search for the parents of Joseph Darius PERSOSNS. He was born 16 April, 1838, Guernsey County, OH. His first wife was Sarah Jane ARNOLD, daughter of William and Caroline ARNIOLD. His second wife was Mary Kathyrn VERMILLION,daughter of George VERMILLION and Elizabeth GRIFFIN. Joseph lived a short time in Tuscawaras County, OH. The KRAFT, COLBURN, BENDEL, JOHNSON, STEPHEN, POULTON, HOUSTON, ROMANS, LAMMORE and PRICE married into the PERSONS family. Joseph died 22 June, 1914, Guernsey Co., OH. His son Charles Harry PERSONS was my grandfather, born 1895, Fairview, OH. Charles Married Mildred Doris POULTON of Temperanceville, OH. Charles' oldest son,Robert E. "Ducky" PERSONS, was my father. He was born 6 July, 1922, Barnesville, OH. He died 30 March, 1994, Rushville, IN. I have Joseph's death certificate which lists his parents as "unknown." He was in the home of his aunt and uncle,Anna and George ALFRED in the 1850 Census.
