Two Questions --I found a number of family members in my 1820 census index CD who were suppose to be in Washington Twp., but are all listed in Monrow Twp. I understand Washington Twp. did not have any towns, so does anyone know if those in Washington were just counted with Monroe??? I know they didn't have a post office and mail came out of another twp. If so would this apply to tax records, voter registrations etc.?? I found my Jacob Smith along with John Reed, Levi Engle and William Bowers who were all related, but there was also a Henry Smith, Nathaniel Smith and William N. Smith. Jacob Smith had a grandson b. 1828 named William N., so hoping these Smith belong to mine! Can anyone claim them? Faith keahey@fiberpipe.net
