Listers, >From a recent discussion on the PABERKS list, it was evident that many on that list had no idea how to find microfilms based on a location at LDS' Family Search site. I had helped someone out earlier with that and had responded I might at a later time share that information with the rest of the list. Well that small favor grew into a larger project entitled "Tools, Tips and Tricks" that not only covers the LDS microfilm tutorial, but a section on Rootsweb Lists, Genweb Sites, GenConnect and Mapping services. It was received with overwhelming enthusiasm and I thought I would share that information with the rest of the world and the other lists I belong to. The project is on my own web site but you can access it by the following URL: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mysong/tips.html I hope to add more tips and tricks as I can formulate ideas. I have already been approached with the idea for clarifying census records and enumeration districts but that will be a big one so give me some time. For now, what is there is useful for any researcher, experienced or newbie. The information is based on my own usage of these tools and should not be considered support for these tools or as a replacement for their own FAQs and Help systems. I am not affiliated with any of the systems and receive no enumeration from them. I wish I did. If you find these tips useful, pass the link on to your friends and other lists. if you find any errors please let me know so I can correct them. I am open to ideas on how to expand this page. Enjoy!
