From what I have run across, there seemed to be at least two main Wharton families in Ohio in the mid 1800's. One was centered around Hamiliton, Brown, and Clermont counties, while I believe the other centered around Harrison, Belmont, Morgan, Noble, Guernsey, and Muskingum. The one from the Clermont area originated from Maryland. The Wharton's in eastern Ohio were from Pa. I'm looking for info on the eastern Whartons. Let me know what you have.
