    3. The FHC library of the LDS church has tax duplicates for Guernsey Co from 1821-1832. These are extremely interesting; recommended. (Film nos: 506584 559349; anyone looking at this period should also get the court journals) One thing that I noticed was how stable the population was. Once someone came, they were present year after year. The window is shut after 1832. Does anyone know anything about the existence and accessibility of tax records after 1832? Real estate & property assessments would be very helpful to me; was there a poll tax?
