DAUGHERTY Guernsey County, Ohio Will Book Vol. 17 Page 111 IN THE NAME OF THE BENEVOLENT FATHER OF ALL, AMEN: I, J. M. Daugherty, of the Township of Jefferson, County of Guernsey, and State of Ohio, being about 75 years of age, and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, Do Make, Publish and Declare this my LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT, hereby revoking and making null and void all other last Wills and testament by me made heretofore: FIRST: - My Will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid out of my Estate, as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient. SECOND: - I GIVE, DEVISE AND BEQUEATH TO My beloved wife, Ella Daugherty, for and during the full term of her natural life, all property that I may own or possess at the time of my death, both real and personal property and wherever located. THIRD: - My wish and will is that my son Russell Daugherty, after my death, shall remain on my farm with his mother and manage and control said farm for her during her natural life and during said time care for and look after her comfort, and for so doing he shall do so upon such terms as he and his mother may agree. FOURTH: - At the death of my said wife, It is my will and I do Give, Devise and Bequeath to my son, Russell Daugherty, all that part of my farm in Jefferson Township, Guernsey County, Ohio, and being the farm upon which I now reside, that lies East of the Center of Salt Fork Creek and containing 92 acres more or less, absolutely and in fee simple. FIFTH: - I direct my executor hereinafter named to sell the remaining part of my farm, to-wit: All that part thereof which lies West of the Center of Salt Fork Creek in Jefferson Township, Guernsey County, Ohio, and containing 69 acres more or less, as soon after the death of my said wife as possible and also sell all personal property belonging to my estate then on said farm, and convert all of the same into money, and then divide the proceeds thereof equally among my following named children, namely: Frank E. Daugherty, Cora Cline, Mary Linn, Julia Leeper, Luella Caskey, Fay Allison, John Daugherty, Fred Daugherty and Arthur Daugherty. SIXTH: - I hereby nominate and appoint my son, Frank E. Daugherty, Executor of This my last will and testament, and further direct that he do the same without compensation therefor.
