Hello, Am making another attempt to find relatives of William Cole, reported to be living in Guernsey Co., Ohio, Quaker City, around 1854, where William and Margaret Johnston had two children, John Thomas Cole and Jane Cole (Householder) then William joined the war in 1861. Margaret re-married in 1862. William could have been a Quaker and/or Pennsylvania Dutch. Can anyone connect to the Cole(s) on the following Census list, living in Guernsey Co., Ohio,? 1825 Issac Coles Solomon Coles Esther Coles 1830 Jacob Cole George Cole William Burr Coles 1840 Jesse Coles Benjamin Cole Elisabeth Cole Isaac Cole John Cole 1850 William Cole (age 25) living with Isaac Perrygo Benjamin Cole Solomon Cole George Cole Isaac Cole John Cole William H. Both from Washington Co., PA, moved to Harrison and Guernsey Counties in Ohio, then some on to Juneau and Salk Counties in Wisconsin. Take a look at my listing at WorldConnect. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=SHOW&db=pasher&recno=563 My info on the COLES is very sketchy and much has not been verified, but if you see a connection, let me know.
