Cambridge, OH . 1 Jan 2001 NEWCOMERSTOWN Frances Julia Faes, 84, a resident of Riverside Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Newcomerstown, formerly of Birch Road, Kimbolton, died Friday (Dec. 29, 2000) at the center. She was born March 28, 1916, in Gnadenhutten, daughter of the late Marion and Laura M. (Johnson) Burdette. Mrs. Faes attended Rush Township schools and was a homemaker all of her adult life. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and raising flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Hubert Faes, who died March 20, 1979. They were married June 8, 1934. Also deceased is a daughter, Edna Ellen Faes. Mrs. Faes was the last member of her generation of the Burdette family, having been preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, including Esther Garbrandt Albert Burdette, Mary Hunt, Pearl Johnson and Mae Gardner. She leaves three daughters, Laura Helen Blind, Mrs. Glenn M. (Carol R.) Frenton and Mrs. Jim R. (Joyce A.) Ortt, all of Kimbolton; three sons, Donald Wesley Faes of Kimbolton, Edward Dean (Nancy J.) Faes of Port Washington and Steven R. (Becky) Faes of Cambridge; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Ourant Funeral Home, Newcomerstown. Graveside services and burial will be 1 p.m. Monday at Gnaden-Clay Union Cemetery, Gnadenhutten with Pastor Tim Tesch officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice
