Hi - I'm new to this list and would like to post the names of the Kells family I'm trying to trace. ANDREW KELLS - born in Pennsylvania, moved to Guernsey Co. about 1810 or 1812. Married Mary Marshall 1809, supposedly in Guernsey Co. but since that wasn't a county until 1810 it could have been some other location. Andrew died in Guernsey County in 1858. JOSEPH MARSHALL - arrived in guernsey Co. the same time as Andrew Kells and is believed to be the Father of Mary Marshall. Andrew was a witness to the will of Joseph and land records show they were neighbors. ROBERT MARSHALL KELLS - older son of Andrew and Mary. He married LAVINA BAY in 1836 and they moved to Defiance Co. OH. RALPH KELLS - second child of Andrew and Mary. He married Ann Jane McCracken in 1841. MARIA JANE KELLS - third child of Andrew and Mary. Bown in 1815, but don't have a date. She married James Campbell Bay. The information about the marriage of Andrew and Mary Marshall came from a McCracken descendant, and I can find no proff of the marriage. The will of Andrew Kells names all three of the children, so I'm sure of that fact. He also mentioned his wife "Mary". There is a record of a marriage of Andrew Kells to Mary Shaw in 1843, and I think it is possible she was the second wife of "our" Andrew. A list of burials at Cumberland shows Andrew, Mary M. and Mary. I would appreciate any information regarding these marriages and this family.
