I was looking at the film of "court of common pleas" books for some late 1830's cases, but one of the films had cases from 1810-1827 or so on it, so I had a look. The early probate case records are recorded in there; they didn't start keeping a separate book for the probate docket and a separate record of estates' appraisals until the 1820's, which I mentioned in an earlier post. I recommend you order these films via an LDS FHC or from the Ohio State Library. If you let me know specifically what name or names & dates you are looking for I will try to have another look at this film. I am very pressed for time this month so I cannot promise I will have the chance, however.
