The FHC film is #1294392 It's item #2 Item #1 is the CoCP's Journal P, 1850-1852. Item #2 appears to be the Journal from about 1810 to the 1820's. Here it's called "the Record Book". The first item is an index, the second are several of the clerk's stylized signatures (I don't know what you call these things, but there's some word for it; the Chinese call their equivalent a "chop", if that helps). It looks like "C P Beatty". Then the first case is August term, 1810. The index which precedes the cases is fragmentary -- only the last few alphabetized pages seem to have survived/been filmed, so you'll have to look thru the whole book. Unlike some of the later journals, tho, it's quite legible. Sadly I didn't find any of the names various people posted, but I didn't have enough time to do this either. By the way, there is yet another resource for probate info for Guernsey Co. It's called "Index to Probate Files 1816-1942". It's FHC film #894963. It is an absolute nightmare, tho -- it 's partially alphabetized, but the letter-groups skip all over the book, backwards & forwards, there's no clear indication of when the various entries are made (that is, what date/year). I don't think there's a lot of information about the early period in there. But there may be some indexing useful for finding late 19th century information (not my period of interest, but I recognize a few names).
