Hit the link at the top left hand side of the page that says "Digital Collections Home".....then there are options at the top of the page. One is "text collection". When you hit that link, you can scroll down the page and will see that it includes part of the genealogy collection from the LDS library in Salt Lake City (I think it is listed under Family Archives or Family Search - something like that). I usually don't go all the way into that "Family" search link, but just use the search capability at the top of the "text collection" page....but I'm sure you can scroll through the different collections. I too have found that the OCR "search" capability isn't always correct and the site sometimes hangs up for quite a long time. Good luck. I've found some great stuff. I tried the two researchers posted as look up references for this on the Guernsey Gen Web page, Marilyn Armstrong McCormick-Murphy and David E. Holland, but could not get either to do this. I'm researching the ancestry of George Wolfe the father of the author himself (William Wolfe.) I'm hoping he wrote about his father's family in that work. George was the son of George and Mary (Kinkle/ Kinkerly) Wolfe, and I haven't been able to find his parents or the household he was living in after the 1830 census, when he was in Frederick City, Maryland. Also coming to Guernsey Co. were George Jr.'s sister and his married aunt Susan, who may have moved before himself. I'm especially interested in whether he wrote anything on the Kinkle(y) side of his family back in Maryland. Let me know http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Stories+of+Guernsey+County%22&sourceid=ie7 &rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=utf8&oe=utf8 Mel ----- Original Message ----- From: <rricabee@aol.com> To: <OHGUERNS@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 26, 2008 6:27 PM Subject: [OHGUERNS] Stories of Guernsey County, Ohio by William Wolfe; bio info needed on the author's heritage I'd like someone to check into the book Stories of Guernsey County, Ohio by William Wolfe, if possible. Harry E.Larrick living with his parents (Jesse & Mary Larrick) in 1910. I have found several Harry's but they don't seem to match up. I also have an Ira Ellis Larrick listed as his brother born in the same year. I am begining to wonder if they are the same person. If so it might have been Fletcher Hospital.
