Nathan was granted patents to two tracts of land in 1835: Ohio River Survey, Guernsey County, T9N, R10W, Sections 27 and 35, totaling 80 acres. 1840 Census data, Spencer Twp, for Nathan West household shows Male, 20-30: 1 (?) Male, 40-50: 1 (Nathan) Female, under 5: 1 Female, 5-10: 1 Female, 10-15: 1 (?Sarah L) Female, 15-20: 1 (Rebecca) Female, 40-50: 2 (Mary and ?) Nathan does not appear in the 1860 Census. I could not find any marriages for Nathan West in Ohio or VA. Hope this helps, Elizabeth Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: flabeers1 Surnames: West, St.Clair Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.counties.guernsey/4400/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for any information on Rebecca A West (1826-1865). She was the wife of Lester St.Clair (1819-1895) both of Guernsey county around the Spencer/Cumberland area. She had 9 children, but died. Lester married Priscilla Fox. In Priscilla's obit. it said she was a mother to all of Lester's children. Lester and Rebecca's son David moved to Florida. His daughter was my grandmother Rebecca Jane St.Clair. I am named for David. Have not found anything on Rebecca except the information I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The Guernsey county genealogical people gave me tons of St.Clair stuff which was really great, but even they don't have anything on Rebecca. Thanks, David Beers Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. http://groups.msn.com/CambridgeJeffersonian1878-1906 The title years are no longer the only years they will look up, they've expanded to past thru present day articles. The group was started to have a place to store newspaper articles from the Cambridge Jeffersonian, which is located in Guernsey County, Ohio. They wanted to share these newspaper articles with others free of charge. They found info on my dad and his FIL that I had never known about or found in newspaperarchive.com, angst-cestry or all my other sites for newspaper lookups. The member's have contributed numerous resources and items and they are searchable. They also do census lookups. Sunny IBSSG

    3. I am a bit overloaded but I'm pleased to say that Betty Shinn is adding the articles to her website (http://bettyshinn.com) so they may be available soon. MaryLu Mezt is also transcribing them (Bless her!) and Betty will then add the transcriptions to her website saving her a lot of space over the image files. With a little luck, all 28 articles will be available soon. I am continuing to read he articles myself and will continue to keep a look out for the names I have collected. Thanks for all the interest. I'm so pleased that I have been able to help my fellow researchers. 3. Thank you so much Elizabeth - and way to go Betty and MaryLu. Will you please let us know when you do have some available? I too look forward to seeing if the surnames I'm looking for are in there. Thanks for Betty's site - I'll look there soon (I know I'll give you some time too :) Thanks so much ladies! -JO On Jun 15, 2008, at 10:26 PM, ohguerns-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > I am a bit overloaded but I'm pleased to say that Betty Shinn is > adding the articles to her website (http://bettyshinn.com) so they > may be available soon.
