April 12, 1809. Married Thomas Larison (d.1867 in Des Moines, IA.) in 1830 in same Co. Elizabeth and Thomas had 9 children-5 surviving to adulthood. Elizabeth died in 1903 in Des Moines also. The following letter was written by Ron Eason and he said it so very well that I asked for permission to forward it to all of you (permission was granted). Listowners, I hope that you will consent to post this also. Our heritage is being destroyed by government and uncaring individuals in the name of progress or just lack of interest. We MUST take steps to preserve it somehow. Won't you please read this and join us in signing the petition...we have over 6300 signatures already, but that is just a drop in the bucket...please help. I know that most of you are into genealogy as I am and if you have ever visited an older cemetery, you know what deplorable condition many of them are in. Are you aware that many states permit building on cemeteries if they are beyond a certain age? Firms will bulldoze right over headstones without so much as an "I'm sorry that we're burying your ancestors and their history will be permanently lost but that's business." It's too late for many family gravesites and older cemeteries but something can be done to preserve what is left and I would appreciate it if you would take just a moment of your time to help. I have just read and signed the online petition: "National Cemetery Protection Act" hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition service, at: http://www.petitiononline.com/sg0001/petition.html I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might agree, too. I have very little info on them. Jacob was born in Chester County Pa. He moved near Quaker City in about 1806. He had a daughter Mary that married Joseph Rogers. I don't know if he had other children or not nor do I the name of his wife. I do know he was the first person to be buried at the Richland Meeting House Cemetery east of Quaker City.

Barry, Elizabeth Phillis, is the daughter of Joseph Phillis and Elizabeth Little. I don't have any direct information on them, but Elizabeth would have been my 4th great aunt. FYI: I was checking out the gene pool database and I would like to give you all a warning. I was looking up the surname PHAY and imagine my surprise to see my grandmother and great grandfather listed. Both have erroneous information. For example: It lists my grandmother, Thelma Phay Bloom's spouse as being Bloom, Ralph when actually it was Ralph McCulley. It lists her father as F Phay Charles, when he was Charles F. Bloom and it lists her mother as June, her mother was June Phay. It appears that the columns are mixed up and spread into one another.
