Anyone with Ancestry.com membership willing to do a quick look-up for me?I'm leaving for the nearest Family History Center in an hour, but can't find one of my critical notes that I pulled from Ancestry.com last time I had membership priveleges. Smith Grubbs/Grubb was in the War of 1812, and is in the muster rolls and pension rolls for Virginia, but I can't remember the regiment that was listed. Thanks!! I have lots of information about the Lawyers in Guernsey County, thanks to my mother's first cousin Alice Lawyer Hyatt, and my subsequent research. The Lawyers in Guernsey county are descendants of John Lawyer (born New Jersey in 1763, died in Guernsey County in 1845.)

Bells I'm related to begin with Oliver Bell who m. Julia May Laughlin 9 Aug 1887. I have no information on Oliver's parentage. The Gilmores I am researching are the ancestors of the Guernsey Co. Frames, Thompsons, and Laughlins. These Gilmores lived in Fayette Co. PA. The latest one I have is a Margaret Ann Gilmore b. in Fayette Co. in 1812. I have some 1600s Gilmores, probably same family, in Ireland.

He was born April 6, 1918, in Cambridge to Edmond Charles and Mildred (Garrett) Keller. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of Quaker City Lodge 500 F&AM, Valley of Columbus Scottish Rite, Aladdin Temple Shrine Club and Loyal Order of Moose. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn (Shackle) Keller and several nieces and nephews...Burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens." The surname was spelled Kellar by his grandfather Wm. Henry Kellar, buried in Olive Cemetery, Caldwell, OH. Wm.'s son, Edmond, buried next to him, spelled it Keller.

Since there are 4 cemeteries named Pleasant Hill, could someone please tell me how to locate the correct cemetery? I believe Otto is also buried there. Although he remarried to Aimee Hoover and moved to Stark County, there is no record of his death in that county and it is thought that he might have been buried with his first wife in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. He was born Jan. 17, 1929, near Quaker City, son of the late Arch and Hazel (Powell) Leach. Mr. Leach retired from W.J. Plumly Inc., Somerton, where he served as a mechanic. He was a Protestant by faith and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Wise) Leach, who died April 4, 1989; a brother, Gervis Leach; an infant daughter; and a grandson, Donnie Howiler. I couldn't find a batch numbers for birth records. Hope this helps. He came to Greene County about 1867. He was united in marriage to Lavina GASTON, September 21, 1873. No children were born to this union. Jennie GRIMES, now wife of J. D. NASH, of Balleyville, Kansas, made her home with the deceased and wife from childhood until her marriage. The home of Benton GOODEN and wife was known for its generous hospitality.
