There were about 7 old post cards (1911-1915) written from various people to Lola Shearer in Cumberland, OH until about 1915 and then her name changed to Lola Gregg in Cambridge, OH. I have no idea who this woman is or how/why my grandmother had these cards. If someone out there is connected to Lola Shearer Gregg, I'd be more than happy to see that they get these postcards. I don't know about Old Hoopman or Balls Grove, but Trail Run/Robins Cemetery is described on the Guernsey County GenWeb cemeteries page: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/oh/county/guernsey/cemeteries/ It says "TR548, NE of CR54 - 2 miles SW of Byesville, Jackson Twp.". There are a number of others listed for Jackson Twp., including two or three that are unnamed. There's also a Beech Grove Chapel (maybe the same as Balls Grove?), though no directional information is given. > Researching the following surnames: .... A word of advice: it's generally considered a bad idea to automatically list surnames within email message signatures, because they are almost zero content but show up in searches ad nauseum. It is better to add them to the Rootsweb Surname List, http://rsl.rootsweb.com/ where they will show up just once in a search, and provide some context (date and location) as well. This is why I break up my name in my signature, if any of you have ever wondered: S R C A cott obert ranston nderson phssra@physics.emory.edu Admin, {C{offield,ollosky,ranston,ummins},OHGuerns,USAGen}-L@RootsWeb.com USGenWeb Coordinator, http://www.usgennet.org/usa/oh/county/guernsey/

I suggest that you write to the Cambridge Library with a request to check their microfilm newspaper files. If you know where they lived, that would be helpful. There were several other newspapers in the area. Include a SASE and a couple of dollars to cover their copying and mailing costs if they find anything. The address is: Guernsey County District Public Library Attn.: Melissa Essex - Finley Room 800 Steubenville Avenue Cambridge Ohio 43725-2385 Regards, Bill When tracing ancestors, please stay within the lines. >X-Message: #2 >Date: Mon, 28 May 2001 11:28:56 -0400 >From: "Joseph E Burt" <burtji@tusco.net> >To: OHGUERNS-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [OHGUERNS] obits for Benjamin F.
