What years are birth records/certificates available from the County? Or maybe the question is better asked " when should you get them from the county and when should you get them from the state?" I am researching the family of Mary Ann Biven(s) Bevin(s) b. abt 1820 in OH. She married Samuel Holmes in Monroe Co., OH on 28 Jan 1844. Mary died in 1892 in Monroe Co., OH. Samuel was killed during the Civil War. He was born in 1816 in Guernsey Co., OH. I am trying to locate Mary's parents. The 1880 census (she is in Noble Co., OH) indicates both her parents were born in Delaware. The few clues that I have is some Biven(s) families in Monroe Co. on the 1850 census. There is a Naoma Biven(s) born 1779 in Delaware. Looks like she is a widow. Looks like she is living with a son Tinley or Tenley b. about 1821. There is also a Jesse L. Biven(s) nearby born 1804 which states he was born in PA. I'm betting Naoma is Mary's mother, but haven't been able to any further than that. I certainly could use some help. Karen

How might I obtain access to the Coroner's Record? This is the first I've heard of the term. I've checked the census, and found Otho in the 1900 census, in washington county, but I can't find him in the census of 1910, which is the one which would show his move into the area. I found his relatives in the area in 1920, and 1930 census, and I would suppose that they would live in the same house, or at least the same area as where he would have lived. I am quite impressed with this service, and appreciate the help. I have access to the census if anyone needs help.
