    1. Waller Family
    2. Is anyone on this list working on the WALLER family of Guernsey Co and elsewhere? William S. Waller died in Westland twp., Guernsey Co., in 1864. His estate was administered over many years because of numerous minors heirs. I have about 18 pages of estate papers, but they are very old xeroxes and very difficult to read and very hard to interpret. The lists of his heirs on internet web sites do not quite seem to match the evidence of the estate papers. Any help will be appreciated. Gary E Young

    3. Hi all, I know how hard it is to lose a parent. I try to find a way to honor their legacy. Here is a simple one that I thought you might be interested in . Please feel free to share this with others you know. I am including a call for submission request. This is an anthology. It is along the lines of Chicken Soup, A Cup of Comfort or many other similar series of books. The stories are meant to be inspirational. Gerry has a whole series of books planned. I had a story published in his last book about fathers. All of the stories accepted are about deceased members, hence the title. You give up all rights, but after a point I am sure he would negotiate a reprint. This is a legit group. Please check them out. There will be many opportunities for stories in the future. I'll keep you posted as he notifies me. Dara Dara, We are now accepting submission requests for "Our Mothers Who Art In Heaven". Please refer you and your fellow writers to: http://murak.blogs.com/ourfatherswhoartinheaven/2005/08/how_to_submit_y.html To see a sample "Our Mothers Who Art In Heaven" story, (written by my wife) please visit: http://www.murak.blogs.com/ourmotherswhoartinheaven Thank you for your interest. If so, his father was NOT William Frame. It may have been Jacob but I am not certain of that. There still needs to be research done to verify it as Jacob. I did research William Frame in Fayette Co., Pa.. and this is diffently NOT the father of John "George" Frain. There is a George in this William Frame family line but there family history shows their George married to a different woman and with different children and living NOT in Summerset Co., Pa. Which line do you belong to? Please post as my e-mail address is not current any more. Beth

    3. I have read with interest your posting. I too am seeking info on CLARK and BRYAN. Should any of the following info be something you may have discovered in your research, and you can add to it, please so inform me. I would appreciate hearing from you since I've been digging for 10 years for these people and their respective parents. The fact that there where 4 CLARK families in Gue. Co., Oh. all unrelated really does make research a trying task when dealing with dates of 1790 to 1820, even before and after these dates. Here is briefly what I know: ALEXANDER CLARK, b 15 Oct 1801, PA or Oh, d 18 May 1870, Coles Co., Ill., bur Mound Cem. Married MARY/NANCY BRYAN b bef 1800, place unk, d aft 20 Oct 1835--bef 20 Aug 1837, Camb. Twp., Gue. Co., Oh. They married 11 mar 1819, Camb. Issue: male (name unk) b 1820, William Bryan Clark b 1822, Rachel b 1826, Mary Jane b abt 1827, Amanda b 1830, Hannah Jane b 1835. All born in Cambridge. MARY/NANCY BRYAN CLARK may have died or divorced, after the birth of Hannah. The next event of record is ALEXANDER re-marries to MARY JANE TURNBAUGH, 20 Aug 1837. The 1840 census indicates a new family by this union, along with the children of Alexander and Mary/Nancy. Determined by ages indicated on page 371 of the census. "Roots and Branches" newsletter, Vol 12, No. 1, included an article titled "The Old Graveyard in Cambridge". An entry dated Thursday, Sept 16, 1894, states in part--" Some died at the time of the scarlet fever scourge that swept over Cambridge in 183(5)",--last # hard to read. Alexander and his 2nd wife left Gue. Co. in 1865 and moved to Coles Co., Ill. for what reason I have not discovered. Alexander died 5 years later. If your research of the various 4 Clark families of Gue. Co. includes any additional info about the above persons (or maybe you have never heard of this group) please let me know. 1. Clark families of Guernsey Co., Ohio
    2. The deeper I dig, the more confused/frustrated I become. After searching/researching the VA areas of the early to mid 1800s for several years, I recently learned that my fella was b/1849 in the <Senecaville?> Guernsey area. Then to give me a bonus of frustration, I learned that there were FOUR non-related CLARK families in Guernsey Co., in the early 1800s. I have also learned (not proven) that my Clark family did not come from Ireland & PA. MY fella is Isaac Hager Clark b/1849. His marriage data in Fauquier Co., VA in 1869 shows that he was b/Guernsey Co., OH and his parents were John & Mary Clark 1850 Census of Senecaville shows John b/1816 OH & Mary b/1822 OH and that his sibs were Permelia b/1842, Hannah b/1844, Sarah b/1846, I find in the 1870 & 80 census that Mary is living with her sister,Margaret & Robert McHaffey. Another piece of the puzzle..... there is an Isaac b/1793 VA & Jane b/1791 in VA in Guernsey Co., OH as early as the 1830 census with three boys and two girls. With one of the boys the right age for John. IF!! Isaac & Jane are the parents of John b/OH; they would have been in Ohio before 1816. I follow Isaac & Jane through to the 1860 census for Byesville, Jackson Twp. But haven't proven that they connect with John. There is another possible kin...... in the 1850 census of Fairview, Oxford Twp. I find an Elias Clark age 62 in VA with wife Rachel 44 b/VA with children Elisa J.male 21; ______female 17;'_________ female 15; Lydia 12; & William 7?.. Any assistance appreciated. Audrey, a transplant from Jefferson Co., Ohio to Florida.
