XENIA DAILY GAZETTE AND TORCHLIGHT MONDAY EVENING - SEPTEMBER 12, 1892 XENIA, OHIO GREENE COUNTY DEATH OF MARY T CAMDEN Mary T. CAMDEN, living one and one half miles North of New Jasper, died Saturday evening at 4:30 o'clock. She was born in Rockbridge County, Va., 68 years ago, living there until two years ago when she came to Ohio to live with her son J.W. CAMDEN at his home near New Jasper. Her husband died 29 years ago. She had been ill for some time with a complication of diseases. 4 children are left, J.W. and G.W. both of New Jasper Township, and Lizzie, of Florence Ala., and Nannie, of Buena Vista, Va. The deceased had been a member of the Baptist church for a number of years. The funeral will take place from the house at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow morning, services conducted by Rev. PUMPHREY, of Jamestown, after which the interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery in this city. Deb, Do you have any Carder/CArters in your info? I came to Greene Co. last year & I know my ancestors lived ther at least from 1847 through 1855 bedause I have my gggrandfather's marriage record from Xenia Twp. & on the 1850 census(names on census-John M. Carder, Joseph Carder, Caroline (Morris0his wife) CArder, Amnda morris )Caroline's sister), Elisabeth Carder(their mother), Stephen Carder, Nanacy A. Carder. I would appreciate anything you find on them.
