Bellbrook was an early settlement. It also had a newspaper that Steve could explain better than I since he has been researching his family by it. As you know newspaper were little gossip sheets back in the beginning, telling births, deaths, weddings, parties, just everything. We had the Lewisburg Leader in the 40's and 50's in Lewisburg, Preble Co., when I was a girl and I loved to read it. But even by the fifties it was getting away from the really "chewy" information.
