Miami Twp. is one of the northern border twps and borders Clark Co. And the twp in Clark Co. that is bordering it is Green. Confusing yes! The two towns of the era were Clifton and Yellow Springs. The Census of 1860 should show your Martin is your looking at the right roll. I checked the index in my 1896 atlas and it indicated that the last twp was formed in 1858 so by 1860 boundary lines was pretty well set. The Library is closed, but if they looked for you then you must regroup and look again. Did he own land? Was he a farmer? There is an atlas for 1868 that they could check for you for a farm.
