Well,I don't know these names - but that sure is a lot for coincidence: My Frank Pickering would grow up to marry a Snyder (Bertha H.); her father, William, was born in 1861 or '62 - close enough to be a sibling of your Frank. What's more, Bertha's maternal grandmother was born a Beal/Beale/Beall. Hmm. I may need to cogitate on this. They had several children Clay, Foster, Warren B 1906 , David ,Marion , Frank Jr. and two daughters Marie and Ruth. Also William G. Beal married Mary Admanda Bargdoll in 1860, they had these children Clara Jane, Joseph F. Mary A. & William H. Beal. Let me know if this helps and maybe we could trade information Thank you Kurt Pickering wrote: >Question, Listers: > >If a widower had to put a child in an orphanage in the Greene County, OH, >area in the late 1870s, where would that orphange most likely be? > >My great-great grandfather Joseph F.
