    2. INFORMATION TAKEN FROM NEWSPAPER ARTICLE IN: SCRAPBOOK - BELLBROOK MOON - VOLUMN 2 MARCH 2, 1898 SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP MRS. H. W. BACHMAN Last Tuesday night at eleven o'clock, Mrs. H.W. BACHMAN died at her home in this place. She had three succesive strokes of paralysis and had been unable to speak since the second one, on Sunday morning, the 17th inst. all that medical skill and good nursing could do was done, but was not succesful in warding off the 3rd and fatal stroke. Mrs. BACHMAN was born in Bellbrook, Ohio October 12, 1840 and with her husband and 4 children came to Clearwater 16 years ago and has continuously resided here ever since. Mrs. BACHMAN was an earnest christian woman, a devoted wife and mother, and her family and the community suffer an irreparable loss in her demise. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church and always prominent in all reform and benevolent work. She taught a class in the Sabbath School, and an honored member of the W.C.T.U. The funeral was conducted from the house Wednesday afternoon and a large concourse of sorrowing friends followed the body to the interment in the Clearwater Cemetery. The family has the sincere sympathy of a large circle of friends in their great loss. Mr. and Mrs. BACHMANS eldest son is on the U.S. Warship Montgomery and was unable to get off to come home before his mothers death.
