BICKETT RESTS PIONEER GREENE COUNTY WOMAN DIED AT HOME IN WHICH SHE LIVED HALF A CENTURY Mrs. Eliza BICKETT, widow of the late Dean BICKETT, and for 61 years a resident of Greene County, died at her home on the New Jasper Pike shortly before 1 o'clock Monday afternoon. Mrs. BICKETT was 84 years of age, and as a result of the infirmities of her extreme age, she suffered a stroke of apoplexy 4 weeks ago. Since last Friday when her condition became critical, she had been unconscious and failed to recover consciousness before she passed away. Mrs. BICKETT was a native of Springboro, Warren County, where she was born in 1823. She removed to this county in 1846, when she was 23 years of age, and her marriage to Mr. BICKETT, who died 43 years ago, was celebrated here. For 53 years Mrs. Bickett had lived in the house where she died, on the farm where she and her husband had gone to house keeping shortly after their marriage. The surviving children are: Mrs. T.B. CLARK, of this city; Miss Ella, who lived with her mother; Hugh, of Woodruff, Kan., Harvey, of Superior, Neb., and Daniel, of Granite, Okla. Mrs. Martha GOINGS, M.D. of RedKey, Ind.;Mrs. Rebecca SMITH, of Tabor, IA; and Mrs. Nancy ANDREW, of Muncie, Ind., are sisters of the decedent. Mrs. GOINGS was with her sister when she passed away. Mrs. BICKETT was a member of the United Presbyterian Church during the greater part of her life, and for many years she was a faithful member of the congregation of the First U.P. Church of this city. The funeral services will be held at the home at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning and will be conducted by the Rev. S.E. MARTIN, D.D.
