INFORMATION TAKEN FROM SCRAPBOOK - BELLBROOK MOON - VOLUMN 2 SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP - GREENE COUNTY, OHIO FEB. 1, 1899 MRS. KATY MURPHY REACHES THE END OF A LONG AND BEAUTIFUL LIFE Mrs. Katy MURPHY, 2nd wife of Captain J.C. MURPHY, died on Monday, January 30, 1899, at the home of her son, W.M. MURPHY, known as Mack. She was a christian woman, and was so deeply imbued with the spirit of christianity that a spirit of pleasantness characterized her whole life to such an extent, that it made her one of the most agreeable women we ever met. The sorrow and troubles of this life never daunted the faith she had in the God of heaven and earth. She was 88 years of age, and has lived beyond the life limit of nearly all of those with whom she mingled in the happy days of childhood and has gone to meet them, who are enjoying eternal life with him who said " Where I am, there ye may be also." The funeral will be preached from the M.P. Church of this place Thursday at 1 o'clock by Rev. GRAHAM. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery.
