    3. Helen, Have you seen Saums or Vail in Greene County records as you researched? Wasn't Greene and Clark the same at one time or am I confused. I live in Michigan and will check at the LDS library or at Toledo. Thanks Tootsie [email protected] wrote: > Tootsie, > > Death records in Greene County did not exist until 1869. 3. Thanks. I need all the tiny clues I can find because I only know my gggrandmother's maiden name and b. somewhere in Ohio. She is Rachel Vail and had a sister Sarah who married a Saums. I don't know date of birth, death or anything. Tootsie Shoemaker Vickie Gorby wrote: > There were Vail families in Warren co. 3. I didn't find one Vail family in "Robinson's History of Greene County Ohio". That doens't mean they aren't in the book, because the book wasn't blessed with a proper index. There are some "Saum" mentioned. pg# 371 Jacob Sam Beaver Creek 1811 - b. 2 Jan 1777 d. 5 Sep 1858, aged 81 - buried Beaver Creek Churchyard - Soldier of 1812. Abraham Saum Beaver Creek 1819 Jacob D. Saum Beaver Creek 1826 Jacob Saum Jr. Beaver Creek 1826 Nicholas Saum Beaver Creek 1827 I am going to look in the cemetary books I have. That will just about take care of my sources for Greene Co. Ohio. Vickie ----- Original Message ----- From: Tootsie <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 11, 2001 2:29 PM Subject: Re: [OHGREENE-L] MARTIN > Thanks.
