THE XENIA DAILY GAZETTE THURSDAY - MAY 28, 1908 XENIA, OHIO GREENE COUNTY WIDOW OF THE LATE WM. ALLEN DIES WEDNESDAY EVENING AT HOME OF HER BROTHER Rebecca Elizabeth ALLEN, aged 70 years and a member of one of the best pioneer families in the county, died Wed. evening about 9:30 at the home of her brother, George DILL on the Wilmington Pike. Her death was caused by paralysis of the throat, after an illness of a few weeks duration. Mrs. ALLEN was the widow of the late William ALLEN who died several years ago. She was born 5 miles South of Xenia. With the exception of a few years spent in Indiana after her marriage, she had been a resident of Greene County all her life. Mrs. ALLEN was for many years a member of the Christian church and she was a steadfast christian woman. The deceased is survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers as follows: Isabelle and Martha DILL of the Wilmington Pike, and George and James Dill of Selma Indiana. The body will be taken to Albany Indiana where it will be interred Sunday morning beside her husband. The funeral service will take place there.
