INFORMATION TAKEN FROM - SCRAPBOOK- BELLBROOK MOON- VOL. 4 SUGARCREEK TOWNSHIP GREENE COUNTY, OHIO FEB. 8, 1905 MARY DAVIS WILSON Mary DAVIS WILSON was born Feb. 12, 1834 in Sugarcreek Township, Greene County, Ohio. She was the second child of Jonathan DAVIS. Her mother's maiden name was Roxana SILVERS. In early womanhood she united with the Church Of Christ or Disciple Church. She remained a faithful member of the church the remainder of her life. She was united in marriage to Daniel wILSON Feb. 21, 1856 by Rev. James M. HENRY. There was born to them 7 children, 3 sons, and 4 daughters. They journed through this earthly pilgrimage 48 years when the husband was called away, 3 of the children having preceded him. 4 children, 4 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters survive, and share with one another the sad bereavement. She was a modest, unassuming woman, a fond earnest christian mother, a dutiful wife, a kind accomadating neighbor, very industrious, zealous, generous and humble through out her entire life. She was patient, yet desirous to go at the Masters Call to come up higher. Our loss is her eternal gain. She died at her home on the old Jonathan DAVIS farm January 30, 1905 in full hopes of a better life beyond, aged 70 years. 11 mo. and 18 days. Funeral services were held at her home conducted by Rev. I.J. CAHILL, pastor of the Brown Street Christian Church, Dayton, Ohio. His discourage was a fitting tribute to one so worthly. " Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from hence forth: Yea saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them. Burial in Bellbrook Cemetery.
