Ann and list- A Gold Star parent was one who lost a child in the war...in other words, it looks like parents Freed and Orville are Gold Star parents because son Donald died in WWII (and is buried in Luxemburg). Gold Star parents were entitled to put the symbol of a Gold Star in their window to indicate their loss. I presume TC5 might be some kind of military classification.
