    1. Re: [OHGREENE-L] Greene County Births Partial S' 1893 - 1895
    2. Sorry, got called away. The Slates are on the Borchers side of the family. My husband's mother was a Donley from Auglaize County, but she died in childbirth with my husband. His Dad remarried a Borchers, and that is the family he knew well. We have the Borchers family traced back to 1519 in Twistringen, Germany. It's been exciting finding them. Just tried some luck and looked ink the White Pages on the internet. Found 26 Borchers living in Twistringen and wrote letters. Got an answer from the town historian, with maps, baptismal records, tax records from the Earl of Hoya ( our ancestor was a heurling on his estate) and added 9 generations to the tree. WOW! The historian asked for $30 for his trouble. What a find! I visited Ohio last summer to see the Borchers in Ft. Loramie, and the Donleys in Yellow Springs and Minster. What an adventure it was! By the way, my husband died in 1984 and his parents in 1989 and 1994, so have no immediate family to help in the search. Happy hunting. Anita
