1. [OHGREENE-L] Aaron Cozad
2. In a message dated 1/2/2001 9:09:14 AM Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: << Thanks My Mary Cozad B-1811 Ohio was married to Jesse Hite. She family to Aaron Casad. >> My husbands ancestors, John RUSH (son of Jesse?) & Elizabeth TATMAN (dau of James?), were m. 19 Aug 1819 in Bath Twp, Greene Co, OH. The marriage records states that they were married by Aaron COZAD - MARRIAGE RECORDS - Green Co., OH at FHL Lib in Salt Lake (film #0534105 - pg 87; Bath Twp, Green Co, OH - marr by Aaron COZAD) - do not know if this is of any help or not? I also found Aaron COZAD in 1830 U.S. CENSUS - Town of Fairfield, Bath Twp, Greene Co., OH (film #337942, pg 349 - FHL SL) living next door to Dennis COZAD. Aaron COZAD had males: 1 of 10 & under 15; 2 of 20 & under 30; 1 of 50 & under 60; 1 female 10 & under 15; 1 female 50 & under 60. Dennis COZAD had males: 2 under 5 years; 1 of 20 & under 30; 1 female of 15 & under 20. I just happened to have this one page of the 1830 census as the COZADs lived between Leonard RUSH and Jesse RUSH. I beleive this RUSH family came from Greene Co, PA to Greene Co, OH. My husbands John & Elizabeth TATMAN RUSH moved from Greene Co. OH to South Bend, St. Joseph Co, IN circa 1832. I think there may have been HITE & COZAD families in that western portion of PA as well, but am not sure. You might try looking in THE TENMILE COUNTRY & IT'S PIONEER FAMILIES by H. L. Leckey for that. Happy Hunting - Glenda Frank Moser FTM: The Glenda Frank Moser Gen Site

2. kathryn grant
3. Hello, I'm a newcomer to this list. I'm researching any MILLENs of African-American/Mixed descent, possibly owned by slaveowner: David Millen or his brother Eli who came to Greene Cty with their slaves around 1830-40's from N? or S? Carolina. David Millen freed his slaves after coming to OH. Our David Millen was born around 1879. Anyone have any info on this group of people, I'd sure love to hear from you. I have a picture of some MILLEN descendents on our webpage: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~moandres Thanks for listening, Kathy G. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
