    1. [OHGREENE-L] WILSON- Greene Co.; KENDALL connections
    2. Do any of the WILSON families being discussed have roots in PA? Specifically, in the Bedford-Fulton Co "Cove" areas? AGNES "Nancy" WILSON was born 1770 near Mercersberg PA. She married the much older ROBERT KENDALL and they as well as KENDALL cousins came to Greene Co. where they lived and died. Many of them lived in Kentucky for a time. I have been unable to establish any relationship between Nancy and the WILSON families of Green Co, but I have not found a lot to go on. I know nothing of her parents, and there were remarkably few Wilson's in that area in a time when "Wilson" in PA was about as popular as "Smith". My great grandmother's brother was GEORGE WILSON KENDALL - Whether that was to honor a specific person, or merely preserving one name from each side of the family, I also do not know. If any of you have found information on PA WILSONs in your research who might be kin to Nancy, I would appreciate any leads. 3. Barbara It is quite possible. My grandfather and many of his ancestors actually lived in Warran County, and I suspect that most of my Greene county ancestors (Walton Levalley Reed Hepford) lived fairly in some part of the county fairly near to Warren. "My" John Reed I have recorded as born to "David and Susan" Reed (or Read or Reid) 18 Apr 1855, so his parents would have been of the same generation as your Susan (although obviously not the same Susan). Do you have any info on Reed-surnamed relatives of "your" Susan, in either Warren or Greene counties? 3. Christie I have a few bits and pieces of info on Dianna Culberson Wilson and her husband Joseph F. Wilson. I know that they had one son (maybe others) named Robert R. "Burdette" Wilson. He was : a) single, born about 1873, age 7 in 1880 census. b) died 12 Jul 1951, buried Sabina Cemetery. c) Obit: Diana Wilson. He was an alcoholic I also have the following notes: -Greene Co OH Cemetery Records, Vol IX (or IV?) Xenia, Woodland Cemetery. Jacob C. Wilson 1821-1905; Lucinda A. (LeValley) 1818-1850; Mary (Kilgore) 1828-1884; Mary Catherine 1850-1850; Cynthia Louisa 1847-1863; Orange Hatch 1866-1876; Elvira Virginia 1861-1886. My guess is that some of these are sisters of Jacob Wilson, although some of the later ones may be his children. - Death Certificate #62125 Joseph F.
