And especially Sandy in Washington and Rich, I hope the above site works for finding Newpapers Archives such as the "Democratic Spark" in which the roll # 23100 (13-Mar-1840 thru 17-Jul-1840) was on loan to me thru interlibrary loan. There are many other sources also which may be helpful. Hope this helps, Marie LC "May you have food and raiment, a soft pillow for your head. 3. Could I please have some assistance from someone who has the cemetery listings for Massies Creek? Do you have a complete list of who is interred at Massies Creek? If so, do you know if Daniel A. Payne (who purchased Wilberforce University for the A.M.E. Church and namesake of Payne Theological Seminary) is buried there? I also recall that Wilberforce University had a present named Wright in the 30s and 40s. Do you know if he's there? 2. THIS ARTICLE WAS FOUND AT THE GREENE COUNTY LIBRARY/GREENE ROOM BOOK: SCRAPBOOK - BELLBROOK MOON - VOLUMN 3 JUNE 19, 1901 MRS. SUSAN FUDGE CALLED TO HER REWARD Mrs. Susan FUDGE, who was a former resident of this place, died at the home of her niece, Mrs. David MCCONNELL, in Osborn last Sabbath evening, June 16, 1901 at 8:30 o'clock, aged 92 years, 7months, and 7days. Death was due to the infirmities of old age. She was the widow of the late Judge John FUDGE, who was a prominent citizen of this county years ago. Mrs. FUDGE lived at this place fpr a number of years and could and would not give her consent to leave here until after the death of her sister, Mrs. Ellen DAWSON, which occured June 9, 1899, to whom she was very much devoted. The deceased was a very highly esteemed lady and left a large circle of friends to mourn her departure. Funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the residence after which the remains were taken to Xenia and laid to rest in the Woodland Cemetery.
