If you have not tried this, you may be able to find births using the FamilySearch.org database if the birth has been submitted or extracted. On the FamilySearch main screen choose advance search, then IGI. Fill in the first and last name of the father and first name of the mother. Select North America as the region and United States as the country. State is not necessary but could narrow down duplicate names. This is not a guarantee that you will find anything or if submitted that it will be correct. But certainly worth a chance for potential leads.
