Thank you for the offer, but what I want to do is "snoop"! As I get deeper into researching a couple of lines, I'm beginning to suspect I could turn up some interesting connections if I could just scan listings, especially for marriages and deaths. I guess I should go back to my other idea, which to was order film from the FHC and see what, if anything, turns up. I was hoping Ancestry offered the chance to simply look through listings, like I used to be able to do in the old days within a courthouse. Oh, well. Thanks anyway, and I will keep your offer in mind in case I have reason to think of some specific thing I'm looking for. Almost every one of my families kept shifting back and forth across that county line, too, so that just adds to the awkwardness of knowing where to search.
