Beth, Have you tried the new Latter Day Saints/Mormon website. They have tons of death certificates for Lawrence/Gallia Counties. You can put in a name and it will bring up death certificates if it is for the spouse or child of that person as well as the individual themselves. Some of the death certificates lists the parents of the deceased. I've found lots of my ancestors and/or leads on this website and it's free.
