Just a thought regarding the birth records. I stopped at the health department in Jennings Co., IN to look up birth records of my husband's family. They were listed in a big book. Several names were blacked out with tape. When I asked about this I was told that those were babies given up for adoption and the birth mother info could not be given out. We never found the record of my husband's youngest aunt, and still don't know the story of her birth. So, perhaps the birth you are looking for was an adoption. Dorothy
